Our Team
We are committed to making Camp Liberté a wonderful experience for all campers. To ensure we achieve our goal, we work diligently with our Board, volunteer dermatologists, and Camp Papillon and Camp Horizon camp management who oversee the camp counsellors and facilities.
Camp Liberté Board of Directors
Our Board Members are committed to upholding the Camp Liberté mission – to provide Canadian children with chronic skin conditions an opportunity to grow in confidence and self-esteem through a multi-cultural outdoor camping experience in a fun, safe, bilingual, environment.

Volunteer Dermatologists
Camp Liberté is fortunate to have dermatologists from across the country who provide medical supervision of the camps. Our volunteers often come away from the experience with a new appreciation of their patient’s experiences with skin conditions.
Camp Papillon and Camp Horizon Counsellors
The volunteer counsellors are selected based on their experience working with children with disabilities in a camp environment. The camp management staff at Camp Papillon and Camp Horizon interview, screen and select the counsellors. All counsellors undergo extensive training and are trained in First Aid, Lifeguarding and handling the needs of campers with disabilities.
Detailed information about the counsellor training can be found on our Parents and Kids FAQ page.
